Ghostworld App

My husband and I started watching Lockwood & Co on Netflix, and I got this random idea for a ghost hunting app. In theory, you could make your own notes for places you’ve visited, check out other’s notes, view people’s shared haunted videos, access a full dictionary of definitions and explore the world. Could be a blast!

**When actually thinking about concept; there are some fail points. But this was purely for fun.

In these three top menu screens the user can make detailed notes from places they’ve visited (and see other’s notes nearby), view shared videos from the community, and explore the world.

No matter if you’ve just felt something or if you, spectacularly see something - you can take detailed notes and mark the location. It was fun to explore a bright, bold color palette with shapes from a Figma community plugin. This work was just done in a few hours, so I used icons form the Material.io plugin as well. Really cool resources, I am never able to use during the day.

I was imagining a paired down version of TikTok - without likes, without voting, and without commenting. Just putting content out there purely for the hobby and to be viewed by passionate people.

I first wondered what would just be really fun - and thought about what I would need as a passionate ghost hunter. All of fun and fun for all.
